By D.B.L.U.
05:17
Picking up where he left off from his EP 'Smoke Screen', 'Safe Levels' is an upbeat, funky track centered around the idea of being unapologetically loud. The long awaited official debut of D.B.L.U. alongside Room 51 on a published song, each instrument and player contributes to a rich soundscape that culminates in a genre-bending conclusion, fusing elements from across styles of music. Written to reflect confidence and playfulness, the instrumental acts to reflect those notions with punchy basslines, moving drum patterns, driving guitars and ethereal keys. Created as part of the City of Ballarat's Be Hear Now program, it's creation engaged a star-studded cast of creatives across the region, with recording and producing credits going to ARIA-nominated Sam Boon, mixing done by Damien Charles, mastering by ARIA-nominated Lachlan Carrick, and album art by Benjamin Mangan. Room 51 is comprised of Ballarat musicians Xander Boreham, William Newton, Alistair McDonald, Eugenie McDonald, Archie Williamson and D.B.L.U. The song officially releases across streaming platforms on the 5th of September.
