Melbourne based rock band One More Weekend have just unleashed their brand new single ‘Unaware’. A catchy, hook-driven slice of rock-pop filled with fresh clean melodies and solid rhythms. Vocalist Connor Dougan explains what the new single is all about: "On the surface Unaware presents itself as an upbeat pop song but in contrast with the music, the lyrics go much deeper. They are telling someone 'I don’t love you back', while attempting the impossible, trying not to hurt them." One More Weekend won 'Best Act' at the Knox Big Break festival on just their third live performance. Since then, the group has played over 180 shows sharing the stage with diverse artists such as Bec Sandridge, Reece Mastin, Arkive and Skies Collide. The band have an impressive back catalogue with their previous 5 video singles all producing sold out release shows and a debut album "We Used To…" gathering 220,000 streams on Spotify alone. With an original style that spans genres flowing easily from rock to pop the band have often been compared to artists such as The 1975, Birds of Tokyo and Foo Fighters amongst others. Their new song "Unaware" is the latest single/music video and is available now. Come and get wild with them for the release show at The Catfish Bar on Sat 16th Sep in Melbourne. Support from rock band Awaking Tyler.
