Juliet is Steve’s dog who loves the beach, games and is very affectionate. As he explains, “when we’re going somewhere in the car, she whines and moans and yodels. The closer we get to the beach the more intense it gets. She’s got a seat protector in the back, because she’s a grubby, sandy thing. I’m often telling her to stop moaning and shush. She’s a dreadful back seat driver.”
Juliet is meant to be a fun song, and the playing here reflects a carefree approach. The guitar solo was improvised on the day and contains some strong string bends and slides in keeping with the playful theme.
