The song is about a transition from an Ebenezer Scrooge-like character to seeing how wonderful the day is from an innocent set of eyes. Sometimes people leave you through death or moving on. Sometimes new people come into you life and make you smile again and this song is about realising, through my daughter, how to find my way back home
