Filthy Rocks are a hard rock/grunge rock band based out of Wagga Wagga, NSW, composed of three musicians - Ryan Pickering (Guitar and vocals), Connor Hodges (Bass), and John Fletcher (Drums) - whose only goal is to make some hard rocking music.
Ryan and John met mid-2021 through a mutual music teacher, as Ryan was trying to string together a few people to start a band. They met up one day to jam to some covers; found a very similar taste in music, and began scouring Wagga for a bassist.
For around a year, Ryan and John went through several bassists, eventually beginning to believe that there were no bassists in Wagga that would click with them and their music. But then, along came Connor - a talented multi-instrumentalist who was keen to rock out.
They all quickly together became good friends, and even better rockers.
They do covers from time to time, but mostly make hard-hitting originals; "bangers", if you will. As of today, they have only had five gigs, all of which attracted attention and headbanging within the crowds.
The Filthy Rocks are still in their early days of rocking, so keep an eye out for releases and gigs in the near future, cause you're gonna want to be there when they blow the roof off with the pure rock sound of... THE FILTHY ROCKS!
