I wrote this song to express my regret and sadness about a really personal and complicated situation that I've been in. It is an apology to my boyfriend who is also my best friend. He has always been by my side and I feel bad that he has had to sacrifice his sleep just to comfort me. I am not a good communicator in relationships and I can be very complicated, so this song says sorry to my best friend, the love of my life.
