Only At The Movies is a band from Sydney, Australia. These Four Punk Rock Pandas aren’t off to chase trends: they want to pursue the music they love and introduce the timeless sound of a generation to a new audience. The band’s music is very diverse and spontaneous, offering a fresh take on some of the best early 90s and early 2000s Pop-Punk, Melodic Hardcore, Emo, and Alternative Rock music.
2020 was a challenging year for most bands, but Only At The Movies managed to stay prolific and creative, unleashing a handful of singles and an EP, “Straight To VHS,” featuring five new songs, including the well-received “For What Its Worth, Thank You”, with some strong Easy-core vibes!
There is definitely a nostalgic side to the band’s melodies and musical aesthetics. However, Only At The Movies is definitely not stuck in the past. The band has a fresh and dynamic sound that is just as raw and energetic in the studio as it happens to be on stage.
Give this one a go if you are a fan of artists such as Blink-182, New Found Glory, Taking Back Sunday, The Starting Line, Four Year Strong or State Champs, only to mention a few!
